    Anne-Louise

    t website? Remember, the sites affiliated with Dr. St. Amand all have "fibromyalgiatreatment" in them. The website is http://localhost/www.fibromyalgiatreatment.com and the forum and resource for newbies, which does have an "Acceptable Products" list, is http://localhost/www.fibromyalgiatreatment.com/board

    Anything else on the Internet has no connection whatsoever with Dr. St. Amand, regardless of what they may say. There are other websites and mailing lists that claim to be affiliated with Dr. St. Amand, but they are commercial, for-profit websites and any statements to the contrary are false. This is particularly true of a website that has a name similar to ours. It claims to be "the official" website, and it does have a "Sal-Free" list. We have found many errors and misrepresentations on that site. I repeat, that is a commercial website and is run for the profit of just one person who has absolutely no relationship with Dr. St. Amand.

    Dr. St. Amand's sites and this list are run by volunteers, and all profits from the sale of tapes and books are donated to the non-profit Fibromyalgia Treatment Center to support research on fibromyalgia. The project currently being supported is an ongoing study by the City of Hope research hospital. You can read about it on http://localhost/www.fibromyalgiatreatment.com/board

    Please communicate this information to the other German guaiers. We do not have a Sal-Free list because it is impossible to list every chemical compound in the universe that does not contain salicylates. In fact, there are very few ingredients that are 100% salicylate-free and that's why we don't call anything "salicylate-free" or "sal-free" or "sal-unsure" or "sal-full". It's much easier to teach people how to identify unacceptable ingredients for themselves and there are only a few simple rules for that.

    1. First, you look for the word oil, gel, or extract. If you find it, you look for the name of a plant before it. If it is not a plant name + oil, gel, or extract, that means it has no natural salicylates in it.

    2. Then you look for the syllable sal, menth, or camph. If you don't see that, it has no chemical salicylates in it either.

    3. There are special words to look out for in the ingredients lists of sunscreens and in vitamins.

    4. There is one ingredient that is present in all fragrances that is OK, even though it's name is benzyl salicylate.

    5. There are five grains or seeds that are commonly used in many products. These specific seeds have such an infinitesimally small amount of salicylates in them that they are OK. The grains or seeds (and anything made from them) that are OK are Corn, Rice, Oats, Wheat, and Soy. The first letters of them spell the English word CROWS.

    Those are the basic rules. It doesn't matter whether something originated from a plant; if it passes the tests above, it is all right to use. This is all explained for you in http://localhost/www.fibromyalgiatreatment.com/board under : QUICK SALICYLATE CHECKALL YOU NEED TO CHECK PRODUCTS. Perhaps you could translate it into German for the benefit of others?

    I know you are very knowledgeable about the protocol, but I felt it was important to make it perfectly clear which websites and mailing lists are Dr. St. Amand's and which are not. I also wanted to explain why it is much easier to follow a few simple rules than a long "sal-free" list that is nevertheless incomplete and has errors in it.

    Regards,

    Anne Louise

  • Kleiner Salizylatcheck in Kurzform:

    Enthalten die Inhaltsstoffe die Silben

    SAL, MENTH, CAM

    Planzennamen + Öl (Oil), Extrakt, Gel

    Rutin, Quercitin, Herperidin = (Bioflavonoide)

    Betahydroxy (Salizylat)

    Fulvic acid (Salizylat)

    Meradimate in Sonnencreme

    düfen wir sie nicht verwenden.

    Ausnahme: Mais, Reis, Hafer, Weizen oder Sojabohne sind okay

    Beispiel

    Sunflower Seed Oil = nicht okay

    Sunflower Seed Oil Glyceride= okay, da der gesamte Name aussagt, dass es sich um eine chemische Verbindung handelt.
    Glyceride = rein chemisch.
    Sunflower Seed Oil wird den Glyceriden nur hinzugefügt, damit es sich besser anhört!

    Die Endungen:

    Ene = Terpene o.k.
    Ol = Alkohol o.k.
    PEG = alle o.k. Beispiel: PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil

    Erinnerung

    Bisabol = nicht okay, trotz der endung -ol

    Bisabolol = okay

    Merkt euch das lol, wie laughing out loud (laut auflachen)

    Chemische Inhaltsstoffe egal welcher Herkunft sind in Ordnung, es sei denn sie enthalten die Silben:

    Sal
    Menth
    Camph
    Betahydroxy
    Fulvic acid
